Chapter 8. Wasted at Swipe Liquors
Arriving at the restaurant where Jethro had scheduled their dinner date, he immediately saw Kathleen seated at one of the tables for two, patiently waiting for him. He quickly approached his girlfriend. When Kathleen finally noticed his presence, a smile immediately formed on her lips.
It was very evident that Jethro’s love for Kathleen was genuine. For him, Kathleen was the epitome of an ideal woman: classy, smart, tall, sweet, kind, sexy, and beautiful. She also came from a good family, a bonus for him. They had been together for five years, but every day, he seemed to fall in love with her all over again.
In the society they were in, many had seen and said that their relationship was nearly perfect.
“I’m sorry for being late, baby. It has been a busy day at the hospital,” he said as he handed her the bouquet. “Happy twenty-third birthday. Know that I love you so,” he continued as he placed a kiss on her forehead. The smile on Kathleen’s face grew even wider.
