Chapter 9. Let Me Take Care of You

As Hadley opened her eyes, she immediately felt the throbbing in her head. Her headache was terrible. She was confused as she didn’t hear her alarm go off. She then reached for the non-existent bedside table. That was when she realized she was at someone else’s place.

“Fuck, where am I?!” she complained as she stood from the couch she was lying on. She stared at her surroundings for a while, and none of this place was familiar to her.

“Shit,” she cursed again.

She then started to check herself—her clothes, even her underwear. Hadley was relieved because nothing bad seemed to have happened to her last night. All her clothes were still the same, and she didn’t feel anything unusual within her whole body except for the headache.

Walking back and forth, trying to remember what had happened to her last night, Hadley was shocked when she saw Jethro come out from what she guessed was the condo’s kitchen. He was holding a tray with water, medicine, and some grapes.
