Chapter 11

The Lockwood family and Ashely waited in the hospital hallway as they were awaiting the results of their mother’s health. Layla and her family also stood there anxiously, hoping everything would turn out fine.

“Where is Michael? He is the family doctor. Where did he go?” Justin asked curiously.

“He went on an assignment, but this doctor has worked on mother’s case before, so she is in good hands,” Riley said instantly.

Justin nodded his head to show that he had heard her.

“Why are you even asking questions? You are never around, and now you are coming here to show fake sympathy,” Jack scoffed.

“What are you saying, bro? I wouldn’t fight back because I know you are very emotional, right? But hold yourself together,” Justin said gently.

“I am sorry,” Jack said knowing fully well that he overreacted.

Layla saw the distraught in decided to get him some water to calm his nerves. She walks out and comes back a few minutes later with a cup of water
