Chapter 7. Her Scent

Jake’s POV

I lay on my bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep. I thought about the strange girl whom I spent the night with, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t stop beating myself for not getting her name.

The days had turned into weeks, and still, there was no sign of my mate. I wondered how I would ever be able to find her and bring her to the pack.

“I wish I knew her name,” he mumbled to herself. “I wish I knew anything about her.”

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

My heart was pounding in my chest as I heard someone knocking on my door. I wasn’t expecting anyone, and I couldn’t imagine who it could be. But there was only one way to find out.

I stood up and walked over to the door, slowly opening it. Just then my advisor walked in.
