Myles POV

Karma is a bitch.

Just moments after I had pushed her out of my office with my harsh words, she too was doing the same thing with me.

I didn’t hesitate to argue with her. I just got up and walked towards the door, but hesitated with my hand on the doorknob and turned towards her. She wasn’t even looking at me. She just sat there with her back towards the door. I sighed and stepped out of the house.

As I made my way to my car, something clicked in my mind and I stopped abruptly.

The man who had introduced himself as a family friend of the Lancaster had earlier said that he ran into Serena’s mom at the mall, but how was that possible when Serena’s mom was still at the hospital?
