“Cassandra, I just want to speak with you for like two minutes. It won’t be anything more than that. I promise you it won’t be anything longer than that.”

This was the day after the extremely awkward meeting at Mr. Combs’ company. Damien was still desperately trying to patch things up with his ex, but from the looks of things, he wasn’t doing a great job at it, or at least he was doing his best, but the result was not encouraging in the slightest.

Cassandra was avoiding him viciously. It was so bad that he had to basically become her stalker, following her all the way to the library. Just as she was struggling to get a book that was way too high, he came up behind her, reaching out for it and picking it out for her.
