Chapter 51. Heaven, Hell, or Ice Cream

There were a lot of things people thought about when they knew they were only seconds from death. Some people might contemplate the afterlife, or wonder if they were headed to heaven or hell, or pray to a deity.

Germaine, on the other hand, thought about ice cream—a double vanilla fudge ice cream.

If only she had not agreed to take the second Ork, none of this would have happened. Never mind that—if she had never agreed to go with Storm, Keratin, and Kenki, to their world, she would not have presently been caught in a whirlwind of water, kicking her feet like crazy as she tried not to sink.
