Chapter 52. Twist of Fate

As Keratin walked back with the food, an emptiness assailed him. He quickened his steps towards his cabin but decided to take a detour. He felt a tug of emotions so rife, it felt like he was being pulled in two directions. One part of him felt like going to check on Storm, while the other part roared at him to check on Germaine.

He decided to check on Storm first, since he had to pass his cabin to get to his. On his way there, he passed Kenki's cabin, wondering why the door was slightly ajar. He unknowingly peeped in and saw Kenki lying on the bed but he sensed the presence of someone else as well. 

He stood at the door, and after only a second's hesitation, pushed it open and walked in. He did not have long to find out that the person standing and staring out through the port hole was none other than Storm.
