“We went to some healers from another pack, disguising ourselves so they wouldn’t know who we are and then know Kanen sickness. Every healer we could find, but no one had any answers. They all said the same thing—it was something they had never seen before, something they didn’t know how to treat.” I explained more to her.

I paused, my voice breaking slightly as I recalled the countless nights spent by Kanen’s side, watching him suffer and feeling just powerless.
