“He’s still suffering from the illness, and no one has been able to find a cure. I…I was wondering if maybe…if maybe I could help him. The way I helped the king.” I lied to Roderick not telling him that I had already used my powers on Kanen already because I was really scared it may turn out to be bad so I didn’t want to tell him yet.

Roderick’s expression became even more serious, and he sat back in his chair, considering my words carefully. “That’s a big decision, Rose,” he said slowly. “Healing someone like that…it’s not something to take lightly.
