Alpha Kanen’s POV

Now that I had less on my mind, it was finally time to worry about Malone. He had been acting strange ever since and I couldn’t place my hand on what was wrong with him.

He didn’t want to say anything either, maybe because he was scared I was going to lash out due to my temper outbursts each passing day.

I usually get so angry to the point of not knowing my actions until I had done them. I usually justified it by saying I was the Alpha and I had the power to do what I could. I remember what my wolf, Darlington told me about embracing my human side. A human could be weak, vulnerable, loved and understood. But I didn’t think I was ready for that yet. It could bring disrespect if I did that.

I wanted to talk to Malone now. He was the only one who could mostly put me in check. I send for him, and come out to the opening of my garden and await his arrival.

He enters and bows, and says nothing.
