Chapter 122. Happiness at Last

Time went by and soon Damien called me to get ready with a dress, he had bought for me as he was coming home to take me to a dance.

I walked to the closet, my hand reached for the familiar fabric of the dress. I remember when he got the dress for me, and I had laughed at it as it was big and pretty and my tummy was still flat at that time and now I appreciated it, at least it would fit me perfectly.

It was long, flowing elegantly to my knees, with an open back that added a touch of allure. Slipping it on, the material cascaded around me, accentuating my pregnant form.

As I adorned myself with jewelry, my tummy protruded proudly, I looked at myself in the mirror and I could see how much I had changed. I was now a woman in love and a soon-to-be mother to my child.

A smile graced my lips as I stepped out of the door, anticipation tingling in the air. Damien's car pulled up, and I greeted him with a smile as he approached, dressed sharply in a shirt and trousers.
