Ameira’s POV

After reading Xandros’s seven messages, a mix of anger and anxiety surged through me. My heart pounded in my chest as I shot a disdainful look at the wall clock in my room. My eyes widened when I realized there were only 30 minutes left until ten o’clock, the time he had demanded we meet. Time was slipping away, and I couldn’t afford to waste a second.

“Shit! Is he fooling me? What the fuck!” I exclaimed, my voice laced with frustration. With a burst of energy, I quickly jumped out of bed, my mind racing with thoughts of how to handle this situation. I needed to gather my wits and find a way to regain control over my own life. I promised myself that I would make sure he couldn’t blackmail me like this anymore.
