Chapter 64. I Want to Stay Away from Him

Nyla’s POV

“Jenny, David is calling.” I looked at Jenny as if seeking approval to pick up the call. Something isn’t right.

“David, who is David?” Jenny asked with raised brows.

“How did he get your number?”

I took a deep breath, still staring at the phone and the number displayed on the screen. After some seconds without picking up the phone, it cut off, and it began ringing again.

“Probably you should pick up the call and find out what he wants,” Jenny suggested.

“Jenny, I don’t think this is a good idea. David is the guy together with Athena who persuaded me to sign the contract. He promised me I could fight, but it was all a lie. That was a year ago. I don’t know what he wants now and how he got your number.”

“You will find out if you pick up the call.” I looked at the phone for some time before I decided to pick up at least to hear him out and know why he was constantly calling me.
