We went back to join the others and by then the maids had already come to clear the tea cups. Now we were just sitting down and chatting lightly for a while before Gina said she was tired and she was going to go back now.

Anthony stood up and helped her leave and then the Luna retired to her quarters as well. I was held because it seemed like we had started off on a good note and that was really all I wanted.

It was just me and Ryder now and while I was really trying to get myself to finally thank him for his kindness so I could stand up and go back to my room too, I sincerely wanted us to stay and spend some more time together.
