Chapter 143. Open Your Eyes

Peggy’s POV.

I woke up again. This time around the drip had been removed from my side and I felt much better than I felt the last time I was conscious. I also saw a bouquet of roses just by the bed. I tried to sit up and even though it hurt a bit I was able to force myself up from the bed. I recalled that the night before my master Ox had treated me, after he had almost sucked all the blood in my body.

What an irony. He had been the reason why I was hurt and he was the same person who treated me.

I got up from the bed and went to take a shower. When I got back to the room I convinced myself that it was possible that the roses weren’t for me. I changed into some clothes that I found on the armchair where Ox worked. Then I went to sit down at the corner of the room where I always sat. I waited patiently for him to come in.
