Charlotte’s POV

It had been a full two weeks since I had woken up here in Cordena. Within that time, I had found work, a room, clothes, and everything I needed to settle down. I was in the kitchen now, making salads for lunch. It was a lot of work because I had to make enough for everyone in the entire castle, and there were many!

Yaya said there were probably many other workers I hadn’t met yet. I was astounded because I saw new faces here almost every day. Jade was helping me with the salad, and I was happy that we got to work together today. Jade was my closest friend among the other maids.
