Chapter 27
Keila's POV
Mama and Cloud were quiet while eating breakfast. I know because of what happened yesterday. I don't want to talk about Papa in front of Mama and Cloud. I want to open the topic about Papa when I'm ready and when I know how to answer Papa's question.
"I'll go first, Mama." I said goodbye to her.
"Is Kean there yet?" Cloud asked. "I have never heard the sound of his motor." He is still curious.
I was stunned. Kean is mad at me. For sure, he won't pick me up now. "He's busy, so I'll just co-commute," I said. "I'm leaving." I went straight out of the house.
When I came out of the gate, there was no Kean to show me. I expected it again, but I'm still thinking that he's not here now and that he won't pick me up. I should not have trained myself to believe that he was always there.
I walked to the outside of our village. I took a taxi to school. I also miss the morning wind that hits my face every time I ride Kean's motorcycle. I miss Kean's
