Chapter 5

For the first time, I was too tired even to dream or have any sexual fantasies. This was a clear indication that the sexual fantasies I had all those while were a result of my joblessness.

I decided to take a walk around the pack today. It was almost like a well-developed city, but the kind you’d see in old war movies. Human civilization seemed far more advanced than werewolf civilization, and I began to suspect that humans might be more advanced intellectually than werewolves. However, I had nothing to prove my theory yet.

I strolled through the village and wanted to get some apples; they looked delicious. There was one problem, though — I didn’t have any money, and I had no idea about their means of exchange in this world.

“Do you want to buy something?” a voice asked.

“Lilian!” I exclaimed in excitement and hugged her.

She smiled but didn’t reciprocate the hug as it seemed to be against their custom. “Hey, let go. I can’t breathe,” she complained, so
