Chapter 149. The Confession
Andrew waited till dinner time before he made his first move. He had turned his choices over and over again in his mind. He loved Elaine, that much was true. He itched to see her but he didn’t want to crudely sever the last tie he had left — the rest of his family. He’d already lost his brother and the business.
If his new psychologist was right, Dr. Doan’s d**** would make sure that he would never pass that assessment in six months. He sent the doctor’s profile to Bennett after finding out that Jules had recommended the doctor.
All he had to worry about now was how to tell his family that he was head-over-heels in love with the person they had wanted Melvin to marry. He could’ve told his grandfather alone but he wanted everyone to know how he felt. He was taking Annette’s advice and offloading his guilt; and Harris’ advice to choose a path he wanted and bear the consequences.
“Will Kath join us for dinner today?” his mother asked as she joined them at the table.
