Chapter 46. After Party
Andrew’s eyes remained on Elaine throughout the wedding ceremony.
It was hard to watch anything else when tears streamed down her face and she struggled to wipe them or raised her head to pretend that they weren’t there. Unlike the other bridesmaids, she didn’t have a smile on her face.
Instead, she scowled continuously at the square shaped man beside the groom. He shared the same physical features as the groom, but he was bigger. Andrew remained in his chair flanked by both his bodyguards. His driver, one of the bodyguards, stood at his left. He’d promised grandma that he would be back by six but she would understand that he had to stay to make sure Elaine was okay.
“You may now kiss the bride,” the pastor said.
The bride turned to the groom and grabbed him and kissed him. Elaine’s jaw jutted forward. Andrew was happy for her though. Now, she wouldn’t have to worry about her cousin’s wedding. The same one that wore Elaine’s dress.
