Chapter 68. Melvin’s Rant

Melvin arrived at the family house with half a mind to break something. The chatter from the kitchen confirmed his doubts and he hastened his pace until he stood, facing his family while they stood around a central figure in the living room – his grandfather.

Everyone looked up at his arrival and they fell silent – all of them except his grandfather who kept talking but stared at him with great disdain. His father stood apart from everyone else. The balance of power had changed. Or rather, it had returned to what it was before the fight with Andrew.
