“Boss?” Annette’s voice was a welcome distraction from the endless droning of reports from each department.

The table was filled with representatives from each department. Most of the people in the room hadn’t been there before as the meeting extended through their different holdings and shares in various companies. So new people entered the company and left as the meeting progressed.

Not that he was focused on what the man from the Technical Unit had to say. Andrew fought to concentrate on the presentation in front of him but all he could think about was Elaine and her stupid picture book.

What content would she add in the book? What had been Elaine’s first date with Melvin? When did they have dates? Had they talked about their future family? Were there things about Elaine that Melvin was privy to that he would never know?
