Chapter 97. Prophecy
Was Annette still holding on to the false hope that he was interested in some woman? He thought he had cleared it out with her. “For the last time, there is no her. You are the only moderately attractive woman in my life. You have no reason to be jealous.” He eyed her. “And now, you’re proving too much to handle.”
“I’m proving too much to handle?” She placed a hand on her chest. “Not a day has gone by when you don’t ask me to confirm how she is doing from Tom or Rita, even though you swore to keep the relationship professional.”
