Chapter 93. The Police Station
Annette nodded at Andrew from across the room. No words were needed. He got the message loud and clear. The threat to Melvin’s black express card had been taken care of.
“Now, if you’ll notice, we have a downward spiral of…” The marketing network manager droned on at the same time that Andrew’s phone vibrated on the table.
He peeped at the glowing screen and saw Elaine’s number boldly displayed. He stared at Annette, then crooked a finger toward himself. While she came to him, he wondered what Elaine could want this time.
“Anne, what did I say about Elaine’s calls?” He only called her Anne when he was extremely pissed or pleased.
“I’m sorry, sir. I’ll get her number rerouted to my phone as soon as the meeting is over.”
“Now.”
“Yes, sir.”
