Anna’s grip on the phone tightened. Her free hand curled into a fist at her side. She felt like she knew where he was going with this. “I told you I would,” she said, her voice low.
“And I don’t believe you.” He said carelessly.
She bristled at his words, but before she could argue, he continued, “That’s why I need your passport. You’re leaving the country.”
Her stomach dropped. “Leaving?”
“Yes. Cyprus.”
