Chapter 48. A Run

Anna was the first to wake up, the sunlight filtering through the curtains. The clock on the wall showed it was just past noon.

She could not even remember how she fell asleep, but she felt well-rested.

She stretched, feeling the tension of the past few days still heavy on her shoulders, so she decided to do the one thing that was a great help when it came to helping with her stress—running.

Her parents had packed clothes for her and Kevin, so all she had to do was find where they had placed hers. When she did, she took out of her suitcase what she needed.

Slipping into her jogging clothes, she decided to go for a run to clear her head.

She left a note on the kitchen table, explaining where she was going, and quietly stepped outside.

This was a new environment and was her first time being here so she took a picture of the house and the surroundings before making sure that her phone had a signal to connect to Google Maps.
