Chapter 8. Impatient to See Her Again

Stuart called Drake a few times but he didn’t receive his call. Their ma was quite worried that Drake might not be in the mood to attend the wedding. 

“He won’t come, Stu,” she said dejectedly. 

“I’ll call him again after an hour or two, don’t worry,” he assured his ma.

However, after an hour Stuart's phone buzzed with an incoming call from Drake. "Shh everyone, Mr. Drake's calling!" he said. There was a pin-dropped silence in the room and Stuart turned his speakers on for everyone to listen to their conversation. 

"Hey bro, did you call? I was at the library," said Drake in a bored tone. 

"Yeah, I called to ask you when you are planning to come home. Daxton and Aurora are getting married and it will only happen once in their lifetime so you need to be there for your brother. Drop all your important work and take the first flight home. We'll leave for our Lake Houston house on Tuesday as the wedding's on Saturday," said Stuart.&nb
