They stared at one another after that admission. It was the first time that they had mentioned the kiss after so many years. It was overwhelming how much that one moment was so important in their lives. Alexis always had imagined that he regretted what they had shared, so this piece of information was something new to her. 

“You mean that?” Drake whispered with disbelief as he slowly approached her, like a predatory on the prowl. It made Alexis’s eyes widen, and she rushed towards the bed. 

“Yes, but what exactly do you think you’re up to now?” she asked, placing as much distance as possible between them.
