Chapter 12. I Can’t Tell You

Elara POV

Zane holds me while I cry, and Zeus rubs my back.

Zeke, on the other hand, is fuming with anger.

He is pacing the floor of Zane’s room growling.

“You are not helping,” Zeus snaps at him.

“She was fucking raped,” Zeke screams. “I will kill him.”

His words only make me cry harder.

Zane pulls me into his lap and cradles me.

While Zeus hops to his feet.

He storms over to Zeke and grabs him by the collar of his shirt.

“She wasn’t raped,” Zeus says through gritted teeth. “She made a mistake that she regrets.”

Zeke turns his attention to me. “What happened?” He demands to know.

My chest is pounding, and I don’t know what to say. “I didn’t say no,” I tell them.

Zeke gestures wildly in the air. “But did you want to say yes?”

My eyes widen. “I didn’t know I had a choice.

We were dating.”

Zane pulls away from me and forces me to look into his eyes. “You always have a choice.

D
