Chapter 26. The Job

Kevin POV

Even though my dad is refusing to train me as his replacement, I haven’t stopped studying. Alpha Boyle wouldn’t put me through all of this not to make me his Beta. Frankly, it is time for my father to step down and let me take over.

I am poring over one of the Beta training handbooks when there is a knock at my door. A small red-headed Omega peeks her inside and smiles.

“The Alpha is asking for you,” she tells me.

I push away from my desk and follow her out of the room. I begin to head to Alpha Boyle’s office, but she grabs me by the hand.

“He is asking for you in his bedroom,” she says shyly.

“Oh,” I mutter.

I expect the redhead to leave, but she continues down the hall to the Alpha’s bedroom. She doesn’t bother to knock when we arrive, and she slips inside the door.
