Chapter 54. Angel

Lara’s eyes peep open to the view of good-looking man in a sky blue shirt and a white lab coat examining her. His circular spectacle frame gives him a geek look yet in some attractive way.

She keeps staring at him for a while as his hands examine her, brushing the nape of her neck, pressing her chest, even grazing her nipples, then he pulls out his black stethoscope and his gaze gaze collides with Lara.

He freezes for a moment, then his set of well-arranged dentitions come to view. He takes a glance at his gold plated chain watch and smiles again.

“Welcome back, Ms. Lara. Can I call you Lara?” His voice sounds warm and welcoming but Lara’s world still rotates in her eyes a bit. She blinks severally to clear some blurry spots from her vision as she takes in her environment— An enclosure walled by dark blue curtains, and a table with a flower vase beside.
