Chapter 53. Red Alarm
Time stands still as the blaring sirens of a white and red ambulance vehicle sears the air when it arrives the emergency entry of St. Luke’s Hospital. The rain has fizzled into mild drizzles and the cloud still rumbles from the shocking lightening that trails it.
Nurses clad in pristine white uniforms rip out of the hospital’s entry while the van’s doors pull open, vomiting Lara who has been laid on a stretcher accompanied by with two paramedics clad in red scrubs. An oxygen pipe and drip has been connected into her unconscious body.
The nurses quickly take over from the paramedical wardens, rolling the stretching into the white building. Just then, Cathy’s old purple Volvo zooms into the parking lot, screeching to a halt, and in no time, she springs out of the doors along with Meg and darts toward the hospital reception.
