Chapter 6. Dare Me
“Come on, Ezekiel Godric, do it!” He dislikes the catcalling in the crowd. Ezekiel, as a sergeant who remained silent throughout the training, didn’t find their anecdotes amusing. It sounded stupid to him.
“How am I going to proceed?” Ezekiel furrowed his brow at the senior Lieutenant as he held on to the string of his rifle. He lightly tapped his shoulder and pointed to the Queen’s School for Women.
Ezekiel’s attention was drawn to the wondrous architectural design. “You are the only one who is silent in this group,” the Lieutenant said. “So I challenge you to kiss a woman. They’re too expensive; seize this opportunity, Ezekiel.”
Ezekiel’s face was filled with disgust. A Lieutenant disrespecting a woman by kissing her is irritable, instilling hatred in his heart. He grew up without parents and was shocked to see soldiers at the highest levels dismissing the value of women.
