Scarlett’s POV
“Gage, I can’t possibly trek that far! I can’t even see the ball from here without squinting.” I complain. He looks around for any free caddy that I can stow in, but there’s none.
“You seriously want to miss this opportunity to get a hole? If you do, that’ll be a moment be a moment in time when you were actually better than a lot of world tournament competitors.” He urges me.
“That sounds delightful.” I’m being sarcastic.
“Really?”
“Gage, look at the sun. Oh? Let me guess; you can’t. It’ll blind you. There’s no way I’m trekking down this course, attempting a hole-in-one, failing and trekking back. I’ll die.”
He observes me for a few seconds in contemplation before dropping his club.

“Hop on.” He squats.
