Chapter 67. Seeking Serenity

Maddie felt a lump form in her throat at Jacob’s words. She had never seen him so vulnerable, so raw. But she knew she could not just let everything he had done in the cafe slide so easily. It was not okay and he needed to know that. 

Her heart had leaped at the mention of the guy marking her as his mate, especially when her birthday was getting closer by the hour. But she needed to try her best to move past that and focus on what had happened; no matter how hard that was.
