Chapter 92

Author’s POV

Lucian raced through the halls almost as fast as his heart pounded against his ribcage. He needed to get to her. He could feel her slipping through his hands and for a moment he could almost see her on the floor, dead.

Just as he reached the fourth floor he stopped, in front of him were two powerful wolves, snarling and in wait. The breach hadn’t been complete and he would still have to fight through a couple more. His jaw flexed and his claws came out effortlessly. He would do whatever he had to, as long as he reached her in time.

Back in the chamber, nothing much had changed and Alpha Caden was beginning to lose hope. That lost hope was building to anger. He turned to the witch, ready to ask her what she had done and why it hadn’t worked when suddenly, his body on the slab wasn’t lifeless anymore.

Cassian let out a deep gasp as he took in air. He felt like he wanted to breathe in all the air and like he was under water at the same time.
