Chapter 93
Author’s POV
Lucian couldn’t take it anymore, staying away from her. His eyes were locked on her still body, the paleness of it and fear pumped his heart. He had never been so crazed before - so beyond reason enough to not care that his father had rage as he stared at him. He pushed past the door and raced towards her.
“Rhea” he cried out when he reached her, falling to the ground beside her and pulling her body into his arms. Her body was cold, still. Even though he could see her chest rise and fall, there was no life in that movement.
He was scared now. He had never been scared. For so long he had run away from her, from what she gave him but now he risked losing that. He felt the fear tighten its grip around his heart, squeezing hard and forcing more of it out.
Tears slipped out of his eyes unbeknownst to him. “Please, you can’t leave me,” he begged her.
