Author’s POV

There was a white sound, nothing in the room existed for a moment. It was so much and nothing at all, Lucian wasn’t even sure where he was for a minute. He was blind and nothing happened.

But then, slowly the white light exited and everything came back to focus. She was still in his arms, her body still and her breathing was there - steady and quiet. That was all that mattered to him, the heat was gone too.
