Chapter 28. Shane and Noelle
The crab dinner at Marcus’s house had been a good call on his part, Shane mused as he looked around the table. Noelle was engaged in conversation with Maddie and Mama E, looking carefree and slightly flushed from sun and beer. She was stunning, and she was all his. It was a good feeling.
Mama E had thrown him her look of approval after meeting Noelle and that meant almost as much to him as it would when Noelle finally met his own mother, Edith. He figured he would start her off easy though, because Lord knows Edith could get personal real quick. Especially since Shane had never introduced any of his women to her before. Not because he was worried about her asking questions, but because he knew it was no point. Nothing had ever been serious enough to go to that length.
