Chapter 8

The next morning, Kat settled down on her favorite bench in the backyard, with her customary oversized cup of coffee, and checked her messages. One text from her date thanking her for a good time and asking if they could do a repeat performance. 

“I think not…” she mumbled to herself and responded that she would call him later to discuss. 

The next message was from Theo asking her if she had some time during the day to look at properties in the area. He must have gone home and looked at some places after he left her the night before, she figured. She still didn’t believe that he was all that interested in the farm life, but she didn’t mind helping him look, so she texted him back and told him she would be happy to help. She had barely hit send before her phone beeped with a new text message.
