Chapter 4

Selene's POV

"It's you again." He frowned and stood up properly. He smiled at me.

"Do you still remember my name?" he asked.

"Yeah, it's Dominic, right?"

"Yes, you're right, Selene." I stared at him with wide eyes.

"How did you know my name? I didn't even introduce myself to you."

What if he's already following me? I honestly don't know. What if he discovers I'm a vampire?

How should I move ahead?

"Ahm. That's what I heard when your big brother called you."

My lips slightly opened before I nodded.

"I-I see.." I was really overthinking it.

"By the way, are you feeling bad again? You just sat here all of a sudden," he asked, his voice concerned.

"No," I answered, shaking my head, "I'm just tired from walking."

"Do you want us to go to school together? It looks like we are schoolmates." He will mention the uniform we are wearing.

I think the first impression of him was correct. He is considerate.

I was ready to respond with "yes" when I remembered what Vera had said.

"You should try to avoid him."

I hastily closed my mouth.

I nearly forgot what he said. I can't get near him.

He could be the reason people discover we're vampires.

"No thanks. I don't need a walking companion," I responded solemnly, walking away from him.

Because I was nervous, I was still holding my chest. I was disrespectful to someone for the first time!

for the very first time!

I was happy that he didn't seem to pursue me right away.

When I arrived at school, I went straight to the faculty room to write my excuse letter.

I went straight to my classroom after saying that.

"Room 301," I said, pointing to the room number on the top of the classroom door.

That is to say, this is my classroom.

I hastily repaired my backpack before entering the classroom.

But..

As soon as I walked inside the classroom, I noticed Dominic sitting at the far end.

"Damn it," I screamed, forcing my new students to look at me and remain silent.

Oh sh*t.

They only stared at me for five seconds before someone yelled my name.

"Oh my goodness, BFF Selene?"

I quickly returned my attention to the individual who had called. I was even more startled to see who it was.

"Bff...!" I exclaimed.

Oh, my goodness! We're in the same class!

That person quickly approached me and was about to hug me when I avoided him.

My students burst out laughing.

"What the h*ck? Haruki, is suddenly hugging a girl your favorite pastime? Haha!"

"Ouch! The woman was rejected."

"That's okay; there are other girls there."

Haruki laughed and scratched his head at them.

"Guys, he's just my best friend, Selene," she said as she introduced me to everyone.

"Besides, she's not dating me; we're just friends," I explained earnestly to them.

Haruki makes friends right away despite the fact that it is only the second day of school.

You stand out because you are an extrovert.

"By the way, Selene, I had no idea we were in the same class," he explained.

"Me, too. "I was taken aback."

Haruki Yamamoto is the heir of the Yamamoto clan, and he, like me, is a vampire.

I met him for the first time when I was four years old, during a corporate party.

"Hello, Selene. This is Haruki." Say hello to your father's friend's son," Mom replied, smiling.

I looked at Haruki for a bit before nodding.

"My name is Selene."

"My name is Haruki."

I knew Haruki and I would be close at the time, albeit it took some time because he was bashful as a child.

However, now...

I examined Haruki from head to toe.

His face is overly full.

"Show me where there's an empty seat," I said.

His two brows raised briefly before he looked around.

"Ah! That's it!" he said, pointing to the location.

I took a deep breath in as I followed his instructions.

Oh my God! I suddenly forgot about Dominic!

It was staring at us, mouth slightly agape.

Sh*t, sh*t! I was too harsh on him earlier!

"Isn't there another seat?" I asked quietly to Haruki.

"No more, that's all, bff," he said quietly to me.

I sagged my shoulders and looked across at Dominic's seat. That means there's still a chance I won't be able to avoid him.

"You should try to avoid him."

Ugh!  My thoughts are returning to what my sister said!

It's already a whore.

I sighed as I approached that seat and sat hastily without looking at Dominic.

I heard Dominic say, "Hi, Selene."

That's correct.

"We're in the same class, and we should have entered together sooner," he continued.

Pretend I'm not hearing anything.

"Selene—" Dominic didn't complete what he was about to say when our teacher appeared out of nowhere.

"OK, class, return to your seats; I'm about to begin class," the teacher remarked.

I haven't heard Dominic speak since the teacher arrived.

As a result, I exhaled a sigh of relaxation.

After some time, our class was finally ended. That means it's time for us to take a break.

We have break time twice a day at this school, followed by a lunch break.

I gathered my belongings and was ready to pull out my phone when someone came up behind me.

I was taken aback for a second and swiftly turned around.

"What the hell is he—"

"You fell," Dominic said as he held my ballpoint pen.

It's annoying.

I swiftly grabbed it and said, "Thank you." I replied frugally and adjusted my seat once again.

How can I avoid someone who is so kind as him? Sister Vera, please tell me. How am I going to avoid this man?

I frowned and looked about till I noticed Haruki talking.

Suddenly, an idea struck me.

"Right, that's it." I said quietly.

"Selene—"

"H-Haruki!" I interrupted Dominic's sentence and hastily rose up to approach Haruki.

"Oh, why?" he asked.

"Come on, join me in the cafeteria; I'm alone right now," I said, smiling.

"But—!"

While smiling at him, I secretly pinched his side.

"If you don't come, I'll make your life hell," I threatened in his head.

His eyes widened immediately before he shook his head pleadingly at me.

"Alright, come on. I'll go with you, bff. ha ha." He scared me.

Good.
