I rushed to the school, and picked up Egan, feeling a mix of anger and concern. I then drove to the hospital, determined to see the other child and make sure he was okay.
But when I arrived at the hospital, I was met by a group of hefty men guarding the door. They didn't let me see the boy, and I was offended by their refusal. I left the hospital, feeling frustrated and confused.
I never heard from the other child again, and the teacher told me that he had transferred to another school. I never thought much of it, but now, in retrospect, it seemed like a strange and suspicious turn of events. Could this child be connected to the medical report and the death of my son?
