Chapter 37. Big Deal

COFFEE SHOP OFF CAMPUS

“She’s here,” Ruby whispered to Lacey. They were both seated in a coffee shop off the campus, patiently waiting for Cat to show up.

“Let’s do this,” Lacey motioned. She pulled the chair back a bit and stood to her feet. Ruby did the same as they both headed to the entrance to block Cat before she could get in.

She wasn’t having a good day after walking in on Alex naked and Jane standing naked in his room. It left her devastated, and she told Ruby that Alex was cheating on her. Ruby was shocked and doubted Lacey. ‘Alex wouldn’t do that to you,’ she told Lacey.

However, Lacey disputed it, still maintaining that Alex was cheating with his childhood friend. Having a good day was far from Lacey’s mind.

Lacey blocked Cat before she could get to the door. “Cat, we need to talk!”

Cat hissed. Without saying a word to Lacey, she walked right into her, shoving past her.
