“Oh no! Cat, there’s no such thing as a werewolf,” Lacey finally broke the silence. She turned to face the wall, trying to cover the lies written all over her face. After a few seconds, she walked up to Ruby and pulled her away from Cat, whispering with desperation, “Can you take away her memory about a werewolf?”
“That could be done with the darkest of dark magic,” Ruby whispered back. She sighed softly and continued, “Only the vampires could do that easily with their mind compulsion trick.”
“Vampires?” Lacey stared with a confused look. “Vampires don’t exist. They’re just folklore.”
“Don’t be too sure. If you exist, so do they,” Ruby spoke with certainty.
