Chapter 56. Getting Involved
WILLIAMS HOTEL
Lucky couldn’t get hold of Jane after calling her severally. He was desperate to get her back. He cast a burning gaze at Cage, “Permit me to use other means necessary to find her.”
“Do what you can,” Cage motioned.
Lucky thanked Cage. He made his way out, and as he was walking down the hallway, Ruby ran up to him.
“Have you seen Lacey?” she asked.
Lucky ignored her and continued on his way. He never liked Ruby because she was a witch and very close to Lacey. No idea where Lacey could be, but he had something in mind for finding her.
Ruby couldn’t dismiss the fact she had not seen Lacey. She checked her room, and there was no sign of her.
She was worried about her. No werewolf was safe out there with the mob of Yorkers zealous about killing her kind. One thing was left for her to do: scrying.
