At the clubhouse.

Jay was taken back to the clubhouse and his bleeding had been stopped somehow after they took out his bullet. They didn’t take him to the hospital because even if they had Ryan on their side, that would be just digging a pit for both her and themselves.

The doctor who would attend to Jay would let the police know there’s been a gunshot wound patient and the police will get all up in their business. That would inevitably slow down all their activities.

When Jay finally opened his eyes after some hours, he saw Vic sitting at the end of the room just rocking in the chair and watching over him. He requested whiskey and they gave it to him. After taking a big gulp from the bottle directly, he looked at the poorly bandaged wound in his right upper shoulder and sighed.

“I need to call my wife, where’s my phone?” He asked and Vic sat up.

“What are you going to tell her, you’ve been shot?”

“Yes. She could treat me better, and besides she’
