Chapter 65
The receptionist looked at him apologetically but Cain just leaned back in his seat slowly, watching her disappear down the hallway.
Then he smiled, a dark, amused smile. She was avoiding him. He relaxed better in his seat.
“I’ll just wait till she’s less busy.” He told the receptionist who just nodded and returned to her screen.
The receptionist thought he’d get tired of waiting after some time passed but he didn’t. He stayed; just sat there waiting patiently, staring at the wall.
By the time Liana stepped out again, the office was quieter as most of the other staffs had left. She has waited while doing nothing serious in her office. She just wanted him gone because she didn’t want to see him, but when she walked out, she saw him.
She had caught sight of him sitting there and just staring at the wall before she turned the corner and before he saw her himself.
She didn’t look at him this time either. She just walked straight toward the exit. Cain
