Lizzy’s POV

Walking down the street, I felt so alive. I couldn’t believe I had been inside that house for so long.

I walked right in the direction that led to Mira’s house. I just wanted to know how she was doing.

I covered myself more deeply so no one would recognize me. Having been a vampire, I didn’t know it would be this hard.

I stood in front of Mira’s house as I stared at her window. Everything still looked the same. I stood there for almost an hour, and I was already getting tired.

I turned around so I could run home before Liam came back. Just as I turned to leave, I saw Mira standing behind me, staring.

I moved back as I stared back at her. Wasn’t she supposed to be at home this weekend? What was she doing here at this time?
