Lizzy’s POV

It’s been a month since I last saw the outside world. Liam has been teaching me how to control my hunger. It made me feel good just being with him, and I could tell he cared and loved me.

I sat by the window, just looking outside. It’s not clear why I just love sitting by the window, maybe because it makes me feel happy.

The door of the room opened, and I saw Liam walking inside and heading in my direction. He knelt down, smiling at me. I was surprised by the change of attitude he was displaying.

I looked into his eyes, trying to catch out whatever he was planning on doing, not until he took out a box and opened it, only for me to notice a ring inside. I just couldn’t understand what was going to happen.

Trying to smooth my hands gently, he said, “Lizzy, I wanted to say something for so many years, and now I think it’s the right time.”
